Surrender

Alone... I make my last Surrender. Gone is the need To please, The fear of more Rejection Yet again. I stand In solitude... The lone pine On a wind swept rock, My image reflected In the water Cool and clear... The eagle Comes to kiss my brow And life stands still. I know Serenity and joy... A bliss So sublime, It takes my breath away. And in my mind's eye, I soar Upon the winds of change. Set free at last. The moon Drifts across The black and starry sky. The loon Cries out It's mournful song. All nature sings In clebration Of my coming home, Complete in every way... Fresh and new. Alone... Alone at last. The shadows All are gone. The ghosts Have drifted Far away. My path is clear... My journey has begun. Liana Brittain
